Engraved by A. B. Walter after a painting by F. Schell; published by John Dainty, Philadelphia, c.1860
The engraving was carefully preserved while working it into a reverse painting on glass (artist unknown).
It is in its original 19th-century ebonized wood frame, tongue-and-groove construction, with period plaster/composition embellishments, approx. 14" x 12" oval.

- Some age scuffs/scratching, chipping of the goldtone, and related issues with frame.  Please see all photos.
