    Description

Refurbished Working IBM 5150 Revision A Computer Early Version Model F Keyboard
    CLEANED           TESTED           WORKING
This is great condition working original 1981 IBM 5150 Person Computer (PC). Both floppy drives are working normally. Drive A boot to DOS as it should.
The computer has been stripped down to the chassis.  All boards were dusted and socketed IC reseated.  The ribbon cables were cleaned.  The floppy drives heads were cleaned; head rails lubricated, face plates and leavers cleaned.  The top case was washed and cleaned. There is one noticeable scratch on the top of the case.  A new cork foot added replace the one that was missing.  The motherboard is a 16K-64K first version without any modifications or upgrades. The monochrome video card is original. There is an added QuadRam memory expansion board installed with 268K on board with room to add it to a full 576K giving the system its full capacity of 640K. This board also has a serial and parallel port and the standard original floppy drive controller card.  Both floppy drives appear to be early Tandon TM-100 double sided single density drives. The floppy drives are connected with the original blue ribbon cable folded properly. The power supply is working properly. It is the early version IBM manufactured for these computer  with its indented fan screws holed and black paint. It is output voltages are very close to specs. The fan is quiet, but sounds a bit tired. As with any PSU’s of the age, a recap should be in its future.  The case is in surprisingly good condition. There are only a couple nicks that would normally be covered by the monitor. The face plate looks almost new.  The computer will come with the floppy drive cover.
The computer comes with a very clean, working, Model F keyboard.  The smoke plastic cover case will come with the keyboard.  The cord is not all stretched out like you see on many of the other keyboards.
The monochrome 5151 monitor does not come with the sale.
This is a very clean, working unit.  I put a lot of work into this and the end buyer should be very happy.
Please see photos for content and physical condition.
There is no warranty and I am selling as-is with no returns.
All Sales to Hawaii, Alaska, or PR will be subject to paying exact shipping cost that will be calculated.  Please ask prior to purchasing the computer.
eBay policies leave me with no choice but to mark each of my auctions with a “no return” policy.  This is being done to protect me against returns such as (buyer’s remorse).   After using the item for days and weeks, the buyer can submit a return and is not obligated to reimburse the seller for shipping charges and I have to pay for shipping charges back.  Even though it is marked a “no return, “a buyer can still submit a return if the item was not as described or the item was damaged during shipping.  Also, I do not need an eBay policy to do what is right and accept the item back if it wasn’t as described or damaged during shipping.  Keep in mind, that I mainly sell vintage computers and vintage computer accessories.  That said even though the box/item may not show damage, the internal mechanism may have been damaged or jarred from a rough truck and/or plane ride.  I will work with ALL my customers to resolve the problem.  Recently, I have had to take back items where the buyer didn’t check with mom/dad, husband/wife, or God prior to buying and did a return.  eBay forced me to take the item back.  Personally, I do not think that this is an acceptable way to return items.  Many of the sellers on here are just trying to provide for their families and this kind of previous return is not fair to the seller.  We are not Walmart or Costco that cannot absorb these financial damages.   Again, I will work with all my costumers to ensure that they are happy with the item they purchased.  Thank you for your patronage.
